Join GP Sport on Saturday 11th June 2022 for a unique trail marathon or long distance walk across the Isle of Wight at night.
Run or walk from The Needles to Yaverland Bay to raise funds for Aspire Ryde. Aspire Ryde is a community hub, providing services throughout the week in a redundant church building which now buzzes with activity.
Participants will be issued with a map and a GPX file, and to help with navigation, junctions on the course will be way marked with directional arrows. There will also be a number of manned checkpoints along the route with snacks and water, and full safety cover is provided.
Not ready for a full marathon distance? Why not tackle Challenge the Wight Half? Starting at The Needles and finishing at the Carisbrooke Castle midway point, or starting from Carisbrooke Castle you can join the challenge for the final 14 miles and finish alongside the marathon distance on Yaverland seafront for a bacon butty and a well earned cup of tea.
All participants will receive a medal upon completion plus a complementary breakfast is provided at the Yaverland Bay finish.
A shuttle service will run from Yaverland to the start, meaning you can leave a car ready for when you finish. Passengers may catch a shuttle for just a £5 donation to Aspire (payable on-board). Please note there is no return shuttle after the finish.
