The Virtual Alternative 7 Hills is back giving those who missed out the opportunity to feel a part of the exclusive ‘Alternative 7-Hills Club’ and ride, arguably the best route ever.
Now is your chance to earn your medal by completing the amazing route anytime either solo or with friends until October 1st 2023.
Enter below and download the GPX file and complete the route, then enter the Classic 7-Hills in October to complete the pair of events and earn some kudos.
This new route requires all the effort, strength and endurance as the more familiar route with an added few miles and a little more climbing; completing and this event will be a real challenge.
GP Sport and Wight Mountain have teamed up to bring the Virtual Alternative 7 -Hills then the Classic event later in the year.
The course will take in some of the Islands toughest off road climbs as well as a couple of surprises and will cover roughly 28 miles from Sandown Airport to Tapnell Farm, climbing about 975m (3,800ft).
This virtual event will be unaided, unmarked and riders will follow their own GPX. (additional information is available at [email protected]).
The Island Bistro at Sandown Airport will be open throughout the Summer (check their website for details) for a range of hot & cold snacks and meals.
At Tapnell Farm, the fully licensed Farm Shop offer a range of drinks and snacks, while hot meals will be available from The Cow Restaurant (booking essential). Tapnell Farm Park and other activities (Archery & Axe Throwing) may be open to keep families entertained whilst waiting for the riders to return. (check their website for details and for all booking requests). These must be booked online in advance to avoid disappointment.
Free parking is available at Sandown Airport and Tapnell. Both are limited so plan ahead.

Junior entries (11 – 16) £5. All juniors are to be accompanied on the course at all times.

Please note, all t-shirts will be produced to order and be ready to collect from registration on race day. We do not send out t-shirts before the event.
